Shalom Ethiopian & Eritrean Restaurant

Lovely place with delicious food, cute interiors, and kind service. Portions are generous - I highly recommend the shareable two-person meat & veggie platter. This is exactly the kind of place Toronto needs more of!

Saba was an excellent server. She was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about every detail. She made us very comfortable at her restaurant Attended to our every needs while we’re enjoying our meal. The price was awesome . The food was delicious. Would definitely go many times. 5 stars to Saba and her restaurant

Such a lovely spot for some of the BEST Ethiopian food! The owner is so wonderful and we LOVED the coffee ceremony experience. The lamb stew was especially delicious, and most of the platters are gluten free (one of our party has an allergy)! Just a great place for an excellent meal with friends and family!

I recently visited Shalom Ethiopian & Eritrean Restaurant was absolutely blown away. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance and the music was warm and inviting. The owner(Saba) was incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring I felt welcome and cared for throughout the meal. She was knowledgeable about the menu and gave me an excellent recommendations. I had Genfo with Ethiopian traditional coffee Ceremony—it was phenomenal and mouthwatering! Every dish was beautifully presented, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The attention to detail here is impeccable, and the prices were reasonable given the high quality of the experience. If you're looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy an unforgettable meal, Shalom Ethiopian & Eritrean Restaurant  is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return and try more from the menu!

Delicious food and good customer service I've been to a number of Ethiopian restaurants and the flavors can be a hit or a miss. This place was wonderful. Great ambiance, great service and delicious I highly recommend. We had the Taste of Shalom and Meat platter. The Doro Wat was AMAZING. So we're the Lamb Tibs. Very saucy

I am from the Rio Grande Valley Texas and generally try to go to an Ethiopian restaurant when visiting big cities. I thought the food was very tasty. I got the meat plate. The ambiance was small and cozy, giving me the feel of someone's home. The owner was very nice and made sure I was comfortable and she talked with me as if I was visiting her home. I would definitely try this place when you go to Toronto. Onuwa

So far i’ve been here twice, and both times I brought someone who hasn’t tried Ethiopian/Eritrean, and both times they left loving it! The atmosphere, music, layout, service, etc was all excellent, and the restaurant is generally well kept. I also want to thank Helen, Dawut, and Saba who all were extremely kind and welcoming to me and my friends. So far i’ve tried the: - Veggie platter for 2 - Meat platter for 2 The injera is cooked to perfection, the veggies are fresh and delicious, while the meat is very savoury.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious — beautifully presented on fresh, spongy injera with a wide variety of flavorful dishes to try. Every bite was full of rich taste, from the spiced stews to the veggies and perfectly cooked sides. The platter was generous and colorful, making it perfect for sharing, and it really captured the warmth of Ethiopian cuisine. The injera was soft and tangy, just the way it should be, and paired perfectly with all the dishes. On top of that, the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive. You can really feel the love and care that goes into both the food and the hospitality. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for authentic Ethiopian / Eritrean flavors and a memorable dining experience! P. S. The coffee was truly divine
